Joe Pera talks with you season 3
In season 3 episode 6 titled “Joe Pera Takes You for a Flight”, Joe Pera needs to borrow a drone from his friend in order to take a picture of his Grandmother’s house for the real estate listing.
For this shot, we utilized our custom-built 5-inch FPV drone to simulate a free-flowing, bird-like perspective. The opening shot of the episode starts with a 3-minute-long one-take FPV shot where every sequence was timed out with a script and actors on the ground.
The rest of the episode continues with snapshots of Marquette, Michigan with Joe Pera’s ASMR-like voice narrating.
KANSAS CITY AVIATION DEPARTMENT

Partnering with the marketing agency Trozzolo, the Kansas City Aviation Department developed a new brand identity which included new photos and videos of the MKC downtown airport. In this project, they wanted to showcase some of the features of the airport including a brand new fueling station that has attracted pilots to utilize the airstrip more.
This project required several weeks of pre-production planning including a written airspace authorization from the FAA to fly within the airport parameters at MKC, which is located within Class D Airspace. The airport was not closed for this shoot, and our drone team worked simultaneously with ATC and the FAA to fly our drone while normal airport operations continued.

Dreamland is a social justice documentary that has been nominated for the outstanding social issue documentary in 2022. Executive producers, Lebron James and Maverick Carter along with director Salima Koroma tell the forgotten story of the race riots that happened in Tulsa Oklahoma 100 years ago.
For this project, we utilized our Inspire 2 kit which allowed us to maintain a small crew footprint while obtaining a sharp image. The Inspire 2 is the perfect drone system for documentary work due to its ability for long flight times, variety of codecs and resolutions, and portability.
